The second course in a sequence of three, Analytical Decision Making in Business II continues the use of mathematical and statistical techniques in the analysis of managerial problems and the design of new and improved systems. The emphasis of Analytical Decision Making in Business is on problem recognition, problem formulation, selection of proper techniques, problem solutions and evaluation of results. The use of electronic spreadsheets and statistical software packages is an integral part of this course. Subject material in this second quantitative course will typically include Hypothesis Testing, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Chi-Square Analysis, Linear Programming, Transportation Models, Project Management (PERT/CPM), and Decision Theory.
The final course in a sequence of three, Analytical Decision Making in Business III continues the use of mathematical and statistical techniques in the analysis of managerial problems, the design of new and improved systems, and the implementation of results in order to achieve desired systems performance. The emphasis of Analytical Decision Making in Business is on problem recognition, problem formulation, and selection of proper techniques, problem solutions and evaluation of results. The use of electronic spreadsheets and statistical software packages is an integral part of this course. Subject material in this third quantitative course elevates the student's knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques; such topics as Forecasting, Inventory, Waiting Line Theory, Simulation, and Markov Chain Analysis will be addressed.
