A real estate developer and vintner with various interests in the greater San Francisco Bay area, Joe Toboni currently splits his time between duties as owner of JT Builders, Toboni Properties, and Toboni Vineyard Oakwild Ranch. Born and raised in San Francisco, he graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory before enrolling at the University of San Francisco, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1974. Following graduation, Mr. Toboni moved to Frankfurt, Germany, and spent the next two years working for Carbo Mix of Europe. After that, he returned to the Bay Area and launched a multifaceted entrepreneurial career. Beginning with Toboni Fambrini Foods, Mr. Toboni built a solid track record in business management, with oversight for six delicatessens and catering outlets throughout the region. In tandem with this work, he started two firms in 1983, through which he pursued opportunities in real estate development and property management. Eleven years later, his construction enterprise evolved into its present entity, JT Builders, through which Mr. Toboni and his colleagues perform all manner of residential and commercial real estate development to this day. In the early 2000s, Joe Toboni and his wife, Mary, added Toboni Vineyard Oakwild Ranch to their stable of businesses. The Russian River Valley vineyard focuses on growing and making wine from pinot noir and chardonnay grapes. Recognized for his charity work as well, Mr. Toboni has made substantial contributions to such worthy organizations as St. Brendan the Navigator, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, and St. Anne’s Home.
