Dotted line to asset manager AllianceBernstein’s CFO; managed application development, integration, and support services.  Responsible for the firm’s core financial systems including the GL/AR/AP system, financial data warehouse, assets under management reporting, billing systems, payroll system, T&E and strategic sourcing systems as well as production of internal, external and regulatory financial reporting.

  • Set strategic direction, defined the architecture for the implementation of a major transformation of the firm’s financial accounting and reporting systems. Created a financial data warehouse for data management, reporting, analytics and as a source of data for other finance systems.Designed and implemented a strategy for data quality, control and correction with operations department.
  • Implemented the ADP payroll system resulting in yearly saving of $200k along with increased functionality for the payroll department and “paperless” pay stubs for employees.
  • Implemented the RevPort client billing system.This global rollout replaced several home grown and Excel based systems with a single rule based, thin client application.This fully SOX compliant application reduced the time to produce invoices from 3 – 6 weeks to one week.
  • Implemented a new Asset Under Management system replacing several legacy applications clearing the way for shutting down the firm’s mainframe system.The new AUM system institutes data quality management which allows greater flexibility in business intelligence, reporting and analysis.
  • Implemented a single general ledger system world wide replacing seven stand along systems outside the US.Daily rather than monthly reporting of overseas financials has been the main benefit in addition to a yearly cost savings of $100k
  • Implementing a purchase to payment system to reduce the cost of purchase orders and associated approvals by using a workflow system to assure that corporate guidelines are followed, budgets adhered to and invoices are processed in a timely fashion ensuring contracted discounts.

·Headed up the design and implementation, Quotron's RS/6000 based server and Windows/desktopprototype.This prototype became the basis for the next generation of Quotron’s products.
