Joe Goddard (Recruiting)
- Fayetteville, AR
Applying more than 20 years of experience in health care and technology staffing, Joe Goddard currently leads operations for nationwide recruiting firm The Cardinal Group. Recently partnered with Providence Recruiting in Dallas, Texas, The Cardinal Group includes technical staffing division Bronko Technology Consulting and medical division Cardinal Healthcare Group. Joe Goddard serves as Managing Partner for The Cardinal Group, in which role he maintains a national base of information technology and medical professionals while forming strong relationships with recruiting clients.
Joe Goddard earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Missouri State University, where he led his peers in student government. After receiving his degree, he relocated to Alabama where he accepted a sales position in the oil industry. Two years later, on the advice of a friend, he accepted his first staffing position with Horizon Healthcare. He soon earned promotion to Vice President, becoming the youngest to hold the position since the company began.
In 1996, Joe Goddard founded his own health care recruiting company, Goddard Healthcare Consulting. The company grew rapidly, and in 1998, he opened nurse staffing branch RNSTAT. Two years later, he expanded yet again with the founding of NAAD, the Nurse Advanced Practice Database. The company enjoyed steady growth and profits through the early 2000s, and by 2005, it had established operations in 47 states. He then sold the company to Sunhealth Corporation and a year later returned to his birth city of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Once established in Arkansas, Joe Goddard formed his newest staffing business. He has since grown the business into what is now The Cardinal Group, a national organization with more than 450 clients, including the U.S. Department of Defense. He also enjoys a busy family life with his wife, their 10-year-old son, and their 8-year-old daughter. He particularly enjoys coaching his son's sports teams and watching his daughter in local theatrical productions.
