  • Designed, funded, and executed 4-year study of the factors affecting aquatic insect and fish communities in a California North Coast watershed.

  • Served as Communication Officer, Deck Officer, Legal Officer, Administrative Officer, and Navigator onboard USS SHASTA (AE-33).
  • Advised the Commanding Officer on matters regarding communications security, legal procedures, and safe navigation of the ship in inland, coastal, and open ocean transits. Maintained Top secret clearance.  Administered command drug testing program.
  • Coordinated and supervised the transfer, separation, or retirement of the entire 300-Sailor crew in a two month period as part of the ship's decommissioning process.
