Michael posted on my LinkedIn profile: "Joanna was hired for one job, outgrew that, and was on the verge of outgrowing her Letters Coordinator role when the economy forced job cuts at The Morning News. She is incredibly bright, hard-working and fun to work with. She lifts the mood of any gathering, and she works well with people on every level. In her position, she was often the one who had to diffuse a tense situation with a reader or deal directly with our harshest critics. With zen-like abilities, she put out fires several times a week. Some lucky company or organization is going to find new ways to harness Jo's creativity, tireless work ethic and charisma. One of the crustiest journalism professors I have ever known recommended Jo to me, and I am so glad he did. He saw something special in her, and I did, too. It was such a pleasure to hire her, work with her and watch her grow. She will be greatly missed by all her co-workers here at The News."
