Production Coordinator


Manage 2 key departments in Women's Knit Tops, handling over 5M units and $45M in cost dollars. Key responsibilities include: negotiating costs and time and actions; liaising daily with vendors both domestically and overseas; placing orders and charting progress to support and manage expectations with cross-functional partners; facilitate merchants for all milestone meetings.

Major Achievements

  • After a major strategy shift in the business, worked directly with a seasoned Merchandise Manager to change and re-vamp the line within a period of 4 weeks, maintaining a high pace, meeting the cost targets and tight deadlines.
  • Used knowledge gained from men's graphic experience to bring a different perspective to the women's business, becoming the graphic content expert for the company.
  • Brought down basic graphic tee costs 10-15%, improving IMU for the key item by 2-3%, contributing significantly to one of the fastest growing key items.
  • Contributed to the team that reduced liabilities by $2M.

Production Assistant


Managed all on-order items for Men's Knits and Graphics. Key responsibilities included: tracked deliveries; consolidated all Purchase Order (PO) data and worked with PO entry team to create orders; liaised with both domestic and overseas vendors daily to keep on-order accurate and up-to-date at all times; managed samples for all milestone meetings and on-order items for several cross-functional teams.

Major Achievements

  • Stepped in to assist the Women's Lingerie and Men's Underwear department during new packaging launch. Led all meetings working to achieve all commit deadlines and fast-track the product with our vendors to stores to meet our launch date successfully.
  • Found discrepancies in costing of a core item; researched problem; discovered overcharge of $15K in a 3 month period. Actions resulted in a refund, and future savings.
  • Investigated in-house ticketing costs. Identified $11K spend in a two week period due to inefficiencies in data consolidation and entry process; led to a company wide re-evaluation and re-structuring of process.
  • Co-managed monthly Production Assistant meetings to discuss best practices; brought other departmental partners in to the meetings to implement more efficient processes and promote new ideas to all departments.
  • As part of stretch goal to next level: Acting coordinator on Men's Graphic Tee's, managing the orders from development through to delivery; negotiated costs and time and actions; kept all cross-functional partners aligned with all key commit dates; managed all liabilities.
  • Formulated own chart to track all liabilities and lockerstock through a period of heavy cancellations; chart used to reduce department liabilities by $500K, bringing it under departmental target within 4 weeks.
  • Visited main local domestic graphic vendor for the business. Saw first-hand the production process for graphics; worked on a one-to-one with the vendor to implement more efficient processes and resolve outstanding issues on a fast-track line.

Graduate Production Assistant/Technical Design Assistant


Graduate Placement Scheme was for one year. Rotated in Assistant Production and Technical Design, learning all basic roles and responsibilities.

  • In the Production role under Sweater team, managed a project focusing on one particular vendor during a period of a high number of slides and shortages. Discovered slides on over 1.5M units resulting in $400K in loss of sales. Subsequently recovered some costs.
  • In Technical Design role the main responsibilities were checking in and measuring samples, updating tech packs and maintaining the work-in-progress report. Also managed small department of Coldwear: commenting on all construction and fit, from adoption to post-production stage.
  • Visited the New York offices to meet team and learn about the design, product development and pre-production roles; good overview of the company; gained an understanding of interaction between roles within the development process.
  • Although the Graduate Placement was for a year, I was offered a full time position after 6 only months.
