Quality Analyst, Senior – Central Quality Engineering

Stamp Controller for the Bay Area campuses and as one of two Material Review Board (MRB) Certification Authorities for Space Systems Company.For MRB, I administered the training classes, updated the certification databases and handled the periodic re-certifications.

Provided Software Quality Assurance (SQA) services to a variety of programs on a surge basis – as needed when the extra help was required.

Quality Engineer, Senior – Enterprise Health - Central Quality Engineering

Created Enterprise level metrics, including deep dive analysis for investigating possible areas of improvement.Coordinated the QA Corrective Action Board (CAB), including chart preparation and minutes.

Quality Software Engineer, Senior – THAAD Program

Performed Software Quality Engineering duties; including evaluating CMM and CMMI processes for the various software groups, witnessing test activity and software builds, reviewing documentation (J-STD-16) and other work products and interfacing with the customer (THAAD Project Office and DCMA).

Compiled and produced weekly and monthly Enterprise and THAAD program metrics reports based on the hardware defect tracking system.These reports included writing VBA scripts for Excel and PowerPoint to automate the report production.

Contractor to LMSSC - assigned to THAAD program, later converted to LMSSC employee.Software Quality for THAAD Program, including process and product evaluations, test witnessing, worked with DCMA and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer.

Metrics - produced weekly/monthly reports, wrote VBA macros to automate report generation using Excel and Power Point.

Converted from contractor to full time LMSSC employee.

Software Test Engineer Sr

Wind River Systems

Started with Integrated Systems Inc., testing the pSOS RTOS and development environments.Company merged with Wind River.Testing was performed on multiple host systems and target processors.Developed a software test platform using the Expect software language that allowed a tester to designate test cases, the target processors to be tested, and provided a log of the results.This included using a reservation system to reserve and release a microprocessor board located at any of several locations for use by the tester.

Software testing on a wafer etching system for use in a wafer production fab.Developed test cases for testing the SECS/GEM RS232 based communications software.Developed automated test cases using the Test Runner tool.

Concord Naval Weapons Station

Civilian contractor to the US Navy.

Developed a Vax/VMS based query system using a Sybase database for the US Navy to schedule ship system upgrades for the Naval and Coast Guard fleet. The query system was programmed in ‘C’ with embedded SQL commands.

Was awarded twice for outstanding work.

1977 - 1991

Sr Software Engineer

Measurex Corporation

Started out as a software technician integrating the Pulp and Paper Industry process control systems for many customers. Systems were written in HP Assembly language.

Developer of customer specials for use on their systems.

Technical group lead and supervisor for a group of system integrators for 6 years.

Developer of key software tasks on their next generation system (the Function Executive with process control algorithms and the Process Input/output Executive that supported process control devices). Software was written in C and Intel Assembly for use in Intel 386 and mini-Vax based systems.

Converted the process control algorithms originally written in FORTRAN into C, thereby simplifying the software build and development procedures.

Developed a font generator tool that allowed for creation of foreign language displays on various video generators and printers.
