Professional Narrative

I have always been the planner of my friends and I think it runs in my blood, because the women in my family love to plan!  I chose the color purple to reflect my theme of GTM Sportswear, which is located in Manhattan, KS.  Go Wildcats!  I am a people person who loves to socialize and make new friends.Aside from being a social butterfly, I enjoy being pushed beyond my limits and doing things I never would have dreamed of.It gives me a sense of self determination and achievement.Throughout my college career, I have learned to push back the walls of my comfort zone and spread my wings.

After taking the Keirsey Personality Test, I found that I’m an idealist person.I am passionately concerned with personal growth and development.Friendly cooperation is the best way for people to achieve their goals, in my opinion.I am naturally drawn to working with people, and I feel that I can help others find their way in life by inspiring them to grow as individuals.More of my strengths include being timely, dependable, and spunky.I enjoy multitasking and working with deadlines, and organization is an important part of my everyday life.Leadership is also one of my strengths.Through my leadership courses, I have learned how to manage dissimilar kinds of relationships, along with conforming to the different types of leadership styles. Some of the courses include: personal development, women and leadership, and fieldwork and leadership.

I am passionate about being creative.It is so important to have an imagination that can flourish into a vision, which can transform the company I am employed with.Teamwork is important to me, and I work well in groups.I am a person who thrives off of interaction with other people and challenging work.One rule I live by is there are no failures in life, just learning experiences.I have had several learning experiences, but they all got me to where I am today.

My job was to welcome new students and transfer students to Fort Hays State University.  I was responsible for making connections with the students, giving them a campus tour, and most importantly enrolling them into their classes for the following semester.  To be accepted it was an extensive interview process and a required GPA.

I was a student event coordinator that worked alongside the founder of the conference and other students.  My responsibility was to create a marketing plan for the Fort Hays State University campus.  Also, I was in charge of getting donations and door prizes.
