Originally requested by the President of the Wireline Business Groupto analyze Network Operations Software (NOS) business and establish strategy to end steady decline in revenue. Defined high-growth product portfolio, recommended the assimilation into the Professional Services business, and managed the newly integrated Business and Service Optimization Software organization to achieve record growth and return the portfolio to profitability.

Full leadership, negotiating and decision-making responsibility for creating strategic business plan, profit and loss, developing market vision, creating integrated product and service offerings, establishing strategic partnerships, staffing and training, and building operating infrastructure. Total strategic, financial, operating, marketing, product management, and research and development responsibility for global organization, comprised of 135 staff and multiple subcontracting partners driving profitable growth across VitalNet Performance Management and VitalQIP Address Management product offerings.

Successes & Achievements

·Pivotal role in ending several quarters of revenue loss and achieving 25% growth within 18 months. Conducted a complete evaluation of portfolio, competition, market and customers; restructured teams, partners and products; and led the integration of enterprise-focused VitalSuite and VitalQIP product lines into the Professional Services business.

·Orchestrated a major transformation of Business and Service Optimization Software organization to reduce costs and expand competitive standing within the marketplace. Chosen to newly established role and integrated product management organization to ensure the delivery of next generation of core network products across CDMA and UMTS in adherence to mobility customers’ needs during the evolution from 5ESS® circuit switched to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) SoftSwitch based architecture.

Managed the product feature functionality of operating infrastructure to support the adoption of existing data products to the wireless industry to enhance revenue growth and competitive standing. Collaborated with wireline and data networking development teams to develop an effective testing framework for newly enhanced products. Guided the identification and establishment of relationships with IMS application partners; and led the evaluation and seamless migration of embedded base customers to new architecture. Held complete responsibility for organization comprised of 25 product managers and senior product managers across 4 separate product categories in 3 geographically-dispersed locations.

·Oversaw the conversion of products and customers to new environment, providing a means to deliver real-time data access.

·Conducted due diligence for the acquisition of $295 million Telica organization and associated Media Gateway product.

·Negotiated and closed contract with Sierra Wireless to develop and deliver the CDMA EVDO data device; and signed joint development reseller agreement with Cisco systems to provide PDSN/GGSN and Media Gateway products.

Managed team of 12 CDMA and PCS Hardware Product Managers in the full life cycle design of new and enhancement of existing base station products. ·Chosen as a Member of Technical Staff with the Voice Quality Assessment Lab to lead team of 5 in conducting competitive performance testing of voice and data networks.

·Lead tester for TrueVoice® Plus, a noise reduction offering within international calls.
