A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jim has distinguished himself as an entrepreneur and businessperson. During his final year at UNC-Chapel Hill, Jim Kitchen founded a tour company and managed all aspects of the business until selling it in 2005. Kitchen stayed on as the US Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and helped to build one of the largest student travel businesses in North America. Jim Kitchen is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The University of North teaching students how to start for-profit and non-profit ventures. He started a business incubator in 2010 to assist aspiring student entrepreneurs during the formative stage of their ventures, and since then has started 1789 Venture Lab on Franklin Street and Launch Chapel Hill.Kitchen also has provided business consulting to entrepreneurs internationally through the Accelerace program, a joint initiative of the Danish Foreign Ministry and the Danish Ministry for Science, Technology, and Innovation.For more information about Jim Kitchen, visit his website at .
