Recruited as a retained consultant, I was able to bring to bear seven years of experience as a co-founder of a Silicon Valley venture capital firm coupled with a proven track record as a serial entrepreneur of investor funded technology start-up companies. My primary responsibilities with MyGroceryDeals (MGD) leveraged the prior 18 months of extensive market and financial research into the online and mobile price comparison sector for groceries sold in the local market. MGD represented my 5th online price comparison portfolio company (MySimon: Series A Preferred investment, acquired by CNET for $785MM; Junglee: Series A Preferred investment, acquired by Amazon for $300MM; Simplexity: Series A Preferred investment, acquired by InPhonic followed by NASDAQ IPO; Become.com: Series A Preferred investment, still private). I was tasked with rewriting all of the company's investor documents consisting of the Executive Summary, Pitch Deck and Stock Capitalization Table. Worked closely with the founders to achieve the company's capital fund raising requirements through their existing investor base. Additional responsibilities included advising the company for potential M&A opportunities, strategic alliances and leveraging its intellectual property portfolio.
