About Jim Dunning

A graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Jim Dunning founded his own private equity firm in 1992. He leads the company as it invests primarily in middle-market companies, trying to acquire stakes in these firms and then add value through the efforts of the company's experienced personnel. Jim Dunning has also held several other positions in the realm of finance and private equity. For two years, he worked as president and director of China Holding Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company which became China Ceramics Co., Ltd (listed on NASDAQ). In February 2014 Jim Dunning was selected by the SEC and appointed by the US Southern District Court of New York as the Independent Monitor over the Harbinger Capital Partners entities. Jim Dunning also participates in his community and gives back to the organizations that have led him to his current position. He has served on the board of trustees at the University of Pennsylvania and Deerfield Academy. Dunning also has a passion for youth sports and has helped support efforts to build athletic facilities at multiple high schools and universities in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
