International assignment leading operations for GE Money U.K. Financial Services. Directed 8 managers and 75 associates servicing $300M recovery portfolio in areas of business involving private label credit card, bank card, automobile loans, and sales finance. Trained department employees, contributed to senior management strategy meetings, and worked with senior leadership team in advancement of department initiatives. Fostered and maintained relationships with key vendors for Recovery Department.

  • Reversed outstanding loss dollar trend and reduced portfolio outstanding by $2M.
  • Achieved 6% recovery rate within first 2 months of implementation of high balance-high risk strategy.

Arbitron’s core businesses are measuring network and local-market radio audiences across the United States; surveying the retail, media and product patterns of local market consumers; and providing application software used for analyzing media audience and marketing information data.

Lead Arbitron's Lean Six Sigma efforts for Respondent Services Operations which includes multi-site Interviewing Centers, Sampling Operations and Panel Compliance Operations in support of over 60,000+ survey panelists.  Focus on developing process improvements and operational excellence.  Responsible for coaching Kaizen Leaders towards completing events which provide immediate impact to bottom line results.

Corporate and Financial Highlights

  • Presently leading two six sigma projects through Improve.  Both projects focus on decreasing fault defect rates in both Technical and Non Compliance faults with a maximum potential benefit of $700k.
  • Conducted process assessments across all three Operational support areas to be used in developing potential Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events.

Responsible for marketing efforts including segmentation strategy, collateral development and portfolio data analysis.Facilitated process mapping exercises with operations to develop policies and procedures.

  • Developed segmentation model to identify the top wholesale industries where GreenSky’s value proposition is maximized. Model reviewed twenty-nine industries across six qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Developed operating manuals, including new procedures, for new portfolio acquisition.Instructions extended to both internal customer service and 1200 Client Distributors.
  • Developed GreenSky's Compliance Program including the development of Policy & Procedures, Training of Associates and championing initiatives to close gaps identified during the process.

Oversee implementation of productivity and process improvement initiatives. Support Six Sigma application to Sales Finance, Personal Finance, GE Mortgage, and Retail Consumer Finance divisions. Apply process tools to achieve operational standardization, provide critical project management, and facilitate employee education. Conduct training for White Belt associates and specific tool training for managers. Mentor Green Belt and White Belt candidates and provide project reviews.

Corporate and Financial Highlights:

  • Reduced defects in Lowe’s Commercial Cash Application Unit utilizing DMAIC methodology and increased application effectiveness, resulting in reduced unapplied cash from $20M to $5.5M within 12 months.Utilized Pareto Analysis, Ishikara diagrams, Multiple Regression Analysis and Stakeholder Analysis to achieve project results.
  • Increased e-service registration for active accounts by 7%, resulting in $100K reduction in operating expenses for each of 3 portfolios.Utilized value stream mapping to establish the most cost effective channel for targeting the campaign.
  • Transitioned U.S. procurement process involving 12 U.S. offices and 5,000 employees to outsourcing partner in India within 30 days.Results achieved through the development of an FMEA, Control Charts, and application of Change Acceleration Process tools (Stakeholder Analysis, TPC Analysis)
  • Initiated DMAIC project catapulting e-mail address capture rate from 1% to 11% for 3 portfolios representing more than 500,000 active accounts.
