Service Development Department Director; Technical Division

  • Created the organization structure, worked out necessary processes and recruited the team. Reporting directly to the CTO. The department was achieving very high level of the KPI realization – at the level of 150%.

  • In order to ensure the effectiveness of the service implementation process, planed and introduced the methods of cooperation between Technical Division and Marketing including the services roadmap. After the process implementation it become possible to control services and manage them through the priorities.

  • Supervising the parallel realization of over 30 projects. More than 95% of the projects were realized within the time frame, budget and quality accepted by the sponsor.

  • Created the Technological Strategy for the Technical Division specifying directions for the technical network development. The strategy was used for 5 years planning of the technical solutions to be implemented in the network.

  • Created the methods and procedures for the internal SW development, in the Department – development of the services based on IN and IMS platforms. This allowed to decrease the implementation time from 6 to 3 months and drastically decreased the implementation costs.

  • Implemented the mechanisms for configuration and extension of the service platforms, e.g. IN, IMS, SMSC, MMSC, VMS, WhoCalled, etc. After the implementation, the platforms reconfigurations and extensions were in line with the running projects.

  • Performed the contract negotiations with the biggest telco and IT companies, e.g.: NSN, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Comverse. One of those agreements become the standard of Polkomtel S.A. for future negotiations with all vendors.

Core Network and Services Development Department Manager; Technical Division

  • Managed the Department with yearly budget up to EUR 70.000.000. Every year the Department performance and the budget management was evaluated as the above expectations.

  • Performed deep reorganization of the Department by redesigning the teams and creating new responsibility areas. After the change and under my supervision the Department worked very effectively, it become possible to manage and control the spare capacity of the network elements and the department budget was fully utilized. It become possible to evaluate the marketing campaigns and realized them in the network.

  • Created the team responsible for the project management introducing the matrix organization in the Department. Thanks to the change ensured the realization of the complex tasks without the necessity to plan them on yearly basis.
