My name is Jessica Hobin, I am 19 years old and in my first year at Conestoga College in Public Relations degree program. So far in the course I am loving the expectations and excited for my futre career. I am motivated to learn and capable to write and design news releases, posters and events. I am very hard working, reliable, honest. A trait that is great about me is that I am bble to work well as part of a team or independently.

Organizing Events

Planning and preparing all kinds of different events from a Breast Cancer fundraiser at Old Navy to a Public Relations graduation. Overall I have planned and organized all kinds of different events, banquets, chartity galas, annual walks, and much more. Most have been organized with just myself perparing the event. All of the events have been very successful.

Buliding relationships

While working as a customer service assoicate and a team leader, a large part of my jobs were to interact with employees and customers, to make everyone feel welcome and satisfied with their job or experiance. Through this I have built many relationships and kept them. Networking is an important role in Public Relations and I believe is necessary. Slowly starting to bulid relationship with the media at my current position at 91.5 the beat Kitchener- Waterloo local radio station.

Preparing and designing newsletters etc.

   Includes writing, editing and the proper document layout for brochures, pitch letters, literature reviews ( on several companies) communication audits, campaign awareness etc.
