I have become very interested in community service work over the past several years. In fact, in the summer of 2012, I worked with a large group of DePauw students doing service work in the Greencastle community as well as in central Ecuador. My volunteer experience during college has included work with the Humane Society to raise funds, Putnam County Family Support Services to provide child care, and a local elementary school for an after-school Spanish program.
I am also very interesting in traveling to different places both around the country and the world. I hope to study abroad in the upcoming academic year and see myself conducting research abroad in the future.
The Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP) allows students to gain experience with IT. During the first year, DePauw staff provide training in several different areas of IT. Thereafter, students find on-campus internships.
I am currently a Sophomore Associate and intern for the Digital Video Department. I assist with video production, which includes interviewing, filming, and editing.
As an apprentice, I have had the opportunity to participate in three different field of training related to information technology.
During the summer of 2013, I interned at DePauw University's Digital Video Department. I helped with interview transcriptions as well as filming and editing footage for a variety of projects.
I also had the opportunity to work on a low-budget film. Along with my supervisor, I recorded sound for the film while getting the full experience of being on a film set.
Cumulative GPA as of 2013 3.73/4.0.
I am currently a part of the Environmental Fellows Program and the Information Technology Associates Program.
