Customer Service Supervisor

This position was one of my favourite jobs in my short career. I was based at the customer service desk after I was asked to move departments because of my excellent customer service skills. This role involved opening the store in the morning, ensuring all staff were present and had the relevant tools for the day, adhering to customer enquiries and complaints, receiving direct from the store manager on assisting other departments with enquiries and ongoing supervision of the day to day operation of the store.

Client Services, Internal Helpdesk and Intranet Development

This was a call centre based role servicing all states in Australia (based from New Zealand), were I answered phone calls, emails and faxes from clients. The role also involved placing an order/quote, order discrepancies, product enquiries and problem solving. I was part of the ‘Helpdesk’ team, which involved assisting phone customer service representatives with issues or questions they had. I also developed and managed an internal resource website for client service representatives to use to assist clients. I used my website design knowledge to build this, and it is still being used to this day. I also worked alongside management to work on projects and development.

Commercial Consent Support Officer

In 2013 I looked for a new challenge. After searching, I found the above position, which really suited me, as I wanted to be part of the rebuild. I had various job roles that changed quite often. They included managing incoming customer and business enquiries, answering calls from the call centre, lodging and issuing Building Consents and PIMs, Invoicing, Electronic file management and Preliminary Application Meetings with clients and internal specialists.

Business Services

In May 2014 the opportunity to join a new team within the Building Control Group at the Christchurch City Council presented itself. Continuing my experience with the Building Administration Team, this role allowed me to expand my knowledge of the New Zealand building industry. This was a front facing customer services role for building, planning, liquor licensing, enforcement and LIMS. During my time in this team I have also been part of the complaints resolutions team, ensuring customer enquiries and issues are adhered to in a timely manner. I then filled an urgent position within the team (which is my current position) as an Information Quality Assurance Officer in May 2015. During this time I have been a 2IC while my manager has been on annual leave.
