Insurance and financial professional Jerry Clamon maintains nearly three decades of experience in his industry. He began his career in 1982, selling insurance for Prudential. He then moved on to be a claims adjuster for Colonial Penn Insurance Co., where he investigated, evaluated, and negotiated insurance claims. In 1988, Colonial Penn Insurance Co. became GE Financial Assurance Company and Jerry Clamon was promoted to Claims Supervisor. Ten years later, he was again promoted, earning the title of Sales and Underwriting Manager. In this role, Mr. Clamon demonstrated his problem-solving skills and developed ways to increase customer satisfaction and grow premiums.Having spent 17 years with the company, Jerry Clamon left in 2001 to join JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Vice President in the mortgage division. In this capacity, he trained and coached project teams, evaluated customer needs, and conducted cost/benefit analyses to boost company revenue and decrease expenses. Mr. Clamon stayed with JPMorgan Chase & Co. until 2006, when Countrywide Home Loans hired him as First Vice President and later promoted him to Senior Vice President, Credit Risk Manager. In addition to managing the credit evaluation and approval processes, he monitored correspondent lending relationships and oversaw due diligence in background, financial, and operational areas of business. In 2009, Bank of America acquired the company, and in the role of Business Control Manager, he worked specifically in the Correspondent and Warehouse Lending Division within Bank of America Home Loans.Jerry Clamon currently operates his own consulting business, Clamon Kaizen Consulting, LLC. Acting as a business analyst, he provides guidance to business owners and managers and trains them in a variety of business techniques. Outside of work, Mr. Clamon supports the United Way of Tampa Bay, and he enjoys golf, camping, boating, and fishing in his free time.
