I am interested in emerging technologies in communication, social media, and innovative forms of advertising. I am from Chicago, Illinois and enjoy all Chicago sports. My dream career is working in sports media for the Chicago White Sox. While I am not working or completing assignments for school, I love playing sports, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
Hello! My name is Jeremy Ross and I am a student attending Purdue University's Brian Lamb School of Communication with a background in public relations and advertising. My goals after college include transitioning into a position at a marketing/advertising firm, working in business to business sales, or working in customer relations/customer support. Basically, I am interested in utilizing my skills in a full time position that focuses on communicating messages to people quickly and effectively. Currently, I work as an advertising representative at the Purdue Exponent, Purdue University's daily independent news paper. I meet and speak with hundreds of clients every month in an effort to match their advertising needs. Additionally, each month I strive to meet challenging personal sales quotas while providing guidance and support to internal employees. Recently, I enrolled in the company's mentoring program which focuses on transitioning , training, and providing guidance to new employees. Every day presents a new obstacle or client to persuade and I love finding creative solutions to those problems while effectively operating in the fast paced environment that the Exponent provides.
