Food Safety Director


Designed and implemented an in-house food safety training program for a staff of 300 workers located in 3 different sites.  Personally conducted high-level training sessions for department supervisors to equip them as local class instructors. Also acted as liaison between Watchtower and the county health department authorities. Implemented HACCP protocols for the kitchens and food processing areas.

I worked in Food Service at the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society for 23 years, from 1981 to 2004. I was the Food Service Department’s Lead Office Overseer from 1998 to 2003. Jeremy Clarke worked in the Dining Room and Dining Room Office for many years, and he also worked directly with me in the Food Service Lead Office for about 3 years, from 2000 to 2003, until I obtained employment at a different facility. Jeremy continued on at Watchtower after I departed.

During the years Jeremy worked in my office he proved to be an honest, dependable, and respectful worker. Whatever project I assigned him, he willingly did, and did very well. He was excellent at following direction and would see any task through to its completion. I never had to worry about a project he was in charge of falling behind or not being finished on time. On more than a few occasions Jeremy willingly put in overtime to do research and finalize a report. However, he is more than just a good worker. Jeremy has the rare quality of being able to lead a group of people on a project. For example, I put Jeremy in charge of unifying 3 of our branches, which included 6 different kitchens, under one food safety program. This was no small task, as each branch had their own program that they already favored. Jeremy found a way to weed through all the emotion and helped to pull them together willingly.

Any business would be proud to have Jeremy as an employee and would be better off for having him as part of their family.
