Prior to this I was and IS Security Manager and Corporate Trainer for First American. Reviewed contracts, advised on changes and audited for compliance. Trained staff and clients on various applications, Windows, MS office, CRM, etc. Tasked with implementation and annual review / modification and obtaining board approval of the Emergency Preparedness / Disaster Recovery Program. Ran training sessions for compliance and HR (BSA, OFAC, Privacy, harassment) as well as soft skills. Implemented courses and tracking in LMS' under Centra, ElementK and Digital U. Worked in IT for the four years prior to that doing everything from basic networking and firewall changes to back office and end user support. Systems were NetApp filers, AS400, linux, VMWare, Onyx, Nortel Meridian phone system (mainly adds, moves and changes), Windows servers and PC's... Ran a mortgage company, we were a banker / broker, awarded high volume office twice from Medallion and Indy Mac. Property  project management of each asset including repairs, utilities, concessions and vendors from acquisition to sale. Negotiations with renters and prior owners to achieve an amicable return of the banks asset. Provide assistance to office staff on ad writing, blogs and newsletters, technical issues, Tempo MLS, WinForms, MS Office, Inside Tract and more. Created, developed and trained all company staff on technical (see below), compliance (BSA, Sox, Code of Ethics, HIPPA, etc.), and HR / soft skills (career, diversity, harassment, etc.). Sourced and recommended vendors for banking system upgrade, corporate relocation and accounting systems. As a systems engineer served the back office IT infrastructure, installation and maintenance of servers running on VM Ware’s ESX platform. MS Exchange, SQL, MS SPS (Sharepoint Portal), IIS, Terminal servers running Citrix Metaframe XP, IBM AS 400, Alpha, Linux, Net App Filers and virtual machines (VM Ware GSX and Norton Ghost). Support new and legacy applications, some networking (Cisco 6509 switches and 3700 series routers), Nortel Meridian phone switch (R13) programming adds, moves and changes, etc. Created and implemented a training program for a new position of Help Desk Support Technician using Footprints to track tickets and Remote Administrator, Citrix, LanDesk for remote desktop administration. Served as Project Manager for: CMR Customer Relationship Project and our Corporate Relocation Project, AS400 banking system upgrade and redundancy, Performance Review system upgrade project to Success Factors (leading to focal point conversion).

Some key papers and studies included: In depth research on consumer behavior with incentive programs (coupons and reward cards, etc.). Success of alumni programs in recruiting and collecting funds by program. Employee perceptions of Employee Surveys, including an actual test on a live company. The efficacy of red light cameras in modifying driver behavior and reducing traffic accidents (also created a profile of the typical violator).
1990 - 2000


Slow and steady wins the degree, continued often one class at a time while growing the start up company. Pace and term gave an interesting insight into the changes of the market, the youth and traditional college life. Initially in the Finance Real Estate and law program which was discontinued due to lack of interest (and faculty) then shifted to marketing. Primary focus was consumer marketing, market research and market behavior. Served as a T.A. for marketing research courses during two terms.
