Skills

Skills

Organization

The organization and punctuality are important whether I study or work. For example in the laboratory each person was assigned a job in pairs per week and always had a support person for such an eventuality. This has further been developed through my laboratory practical and through my conducting experiments.

Lab/Technical

My degree programme has developed my ability in laboratory techniques such as microscopy, staining and colorimetry, DNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, Gel electrophoresis, isolation and identification of microorganism, also biochemistry process techniques such as, Enzyme immobilization or Determination of the volumetric oxygen transfer coefficient. I am confident at learning new techniques and enjoy working within a laboratory environment. In addition I have experience of the following molecular techniques from taught courses including Cytogenetics methods for cytotoxicity and genotoxicity Analysis, such as, MTT assay, Cytometry, The sister chromatid exchange (SCE) assay, FISH, R-G-C band Karyotypes.

 Teamwork

The laboratory animal genetics was administered by three undergraduate students, we was part of the Genetics Research Group with two years of experience. We trained monitors, and the next generation of managers, we performed all protocols of cleaning, maintenance, preparation of reagents while we conducted our own research projects. Besides being responsible for the animal genetics seed research group

IT

I am a confident user of all Microsoft and Apple packages. In addition to Solidwork, Mathlab, Golden Ratio and some photo editors.

Communication

Excellent communications skills was essential in my role as Assistant for Ace Translogistics Ltda. This involves speaking to customers and drivers on a daily basis to provide the correct service for their needs. At University my confidence in speaking to large groups of people has been developed by delivering presentations as part of my course and work as a leader in the animal genetics laboratory.
