Merchandise Specialist

United Nations Development Fund for Women

Travelled to Kabul, Afghanistan to work as a merchandise specialist for the United Nations Development Fund for Women and to help launch and Economic Empowerment Program as part of the first Afghanistan women's conference in 25 years. I served as one of four North American judges hired to enable the women of Afghanistan increase their products' marketability to both local and international markets.

  • Developed concept for, and opened outdoor-oriented retail store for Grouse Mountain
  • Developed concept for, and opened seven Beautiful British Columbia Gift Shops--including Whistler, Vancouver International Airport, BC Ferry Corporation, Overwaitea Food Group and Grouse Mountain
  • Provided consulting services to Ripley's Aquarium Retail (division of The Jim Pattison Group) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  • Developed private-label program for Beautiful BC, Grouse Mountain and Ripley's Aquarium
  • Launched e-commerce website
  • Created Corporate Gift Baskets for Jim Pattison for 10 years
