Responsible for art direction and overall design of award-winning monthly magazine and accompanying special sections. Oversaw production from start to finish. Translated editorial content to layouts that engaged readers and advanced the editorial vision. Maintained a consistent, sophisticated look that reflected the Water's Edge brand and corporate identity. Worked closely with the imaging department, printer, editorial/advertising team members to ensure quality reproduction. Assisted on photo shoots as schedule allowed. Developed the imposition (mapped advertising and editorial placement) for each issue with input from the publisher and editor. Created pdfs to printer’s specifications. Managed and mentored interns. Never missed a deadline.
