  • Accounting: posted routine transactions in different subsystems using established procedures for appropriate entries (or adjustments) to expenditure and budgetary control accounts

  • Internal control: find and/or correct discrepancies through financial reconciliations, document verification, & accurate distribution according to prescribed fund classifications

  • Human capital management: designated training coordinator and personnel liaison responsible for managing employee processing, web content, and vendor or agency relations

  • Customer focus: create agency awareness & support mission by (1) meeting agencies’ needs, (2) promoting customer service, and (3) establish effective statewide fleet management program

  • Conference coordinator: schedule, prepare, and attend directors’ meetings & events

  • Analytics: Implemented fleet baseline methodology outlining state agency fleet operations that required tracking fixed assets, acquisitions, & disposals of roughly 145 state agency-fleets (refer to Office of Governor Robert Bentley Administration Accomplishments 2011 - 2014)

  • Developed optimal fleet-tracking program helping to improve staff efficiency by streamlining a more rapid system of internal operations

  • Assessed fiscal viability comparing historical fleet analysis to emerging data attributed to progressive fleet restructuring efforts, collaborative strategic planning, and direct feedback
  • Researched, interpreted, & developed fleet activity & financial reports used to address agency-specific purchase-program options as well as program benefits, proposals, & progress

Recent Career Project Highlights

In less than 28 months, I earned at least 4 promotions whereby I (1) started as a temporary summer intern then (2) transitioned to a to full time state employee, and (3) successfully tested out and ranked in band 1 for both the Account Clerk exam and the Accounting Technician exam all before graduation. In addition, I'm currently on the state register for the Accountant & a Tax Valuation Analyst I positions (also band 1).
