resources to supplement course materials. Host live student discussion
groups.  Member of team which designed course mentor tracking tool.

Provided ongoing support to pre-licensure & post-licensure undergraduate and graduate nursing students, including guidance regarding course selection, monitoring of academic progress and facilitating full use of available resources.  Maintained weekly contact with students to foster mentoring relationship.  Worked remotely from home office, with heavy reliance on computer technology.  Member of CCNE steering committee.

Taught 2nd-year RN students advanced medical-surgical and psychiatric nursing courses, including lecture and clinical rotations at Bloomington Hospital and long-term care facility.  Also taught Pharmacology lecture course.  Additional duties included advising students enrolled in the nursing programs. Assisted with preparation for successful NLNAC accreditation visit Jan. 2011.

Also previously taught 1st year nursing students Intro to Nursing and  Med-Surg lecture courses, lab skills with physical assessment, and clinical rotations from August  2005 to December 2007.

SMQT certified. Performed surveys of long-term care facilities to insure compliance with Medicare and state guidelines.  Observed provision of care & interviewed residents.  Worked with team of other health care professionals to submit survey reports to CMS.

Wound Professionals/ Bloomington Hospital Wound Healing Center

Provided advanced wound care to nursing home residents and clinic patients.  Skills include debridement, laboratory management, prescribing medications and treatments.  Trained in hyperbaric oxygen therapy.   Member of mid-level staff at Bloomington Hospital.
