Jenifer deWolf Paine serves as Senior Counsel at the global law firm Proskauer. She works in the field of intellectual property, focusing her practice on false advertising and trademarks. In 2011, she received distinction as a “Recommended Individual” from the World Trademark Review 1000: The Definitive Guide to Trademark Legal Services.

Jenifer has held membership in several professional organizations, including the Trademark & Unfair Competition Committee of the New York City Bar Association, the Copyright Society of the United States of America, the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association (INTA), for which she has served as an editor of its The Trademark Reporter. Ms. Paine has additionally written for multiple publications, including An Overview of the Copyright Law and the monthly INTA Bulletin.

After obtaining her B.A from Boston University, Jenifer received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1994. She is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and Southern District of New York, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and in the states of California, New York, and Massachusetts. Over the course of her career, she has worked with clients in the fashion, music, and health care industries, among others.She successfully won the domain name from a cybersquatter on behalf of the performing artist Madonna.
