Currently I work primarily in Tekla Oy as a software architect for cloud-based (Windows Azure) solutions. Occasionally I do training gigs through my company, QualityDriven Oy.

I'm specialized in .NET, Windows Azure, SQL Server (cloud & on-premises), Visual Studio Team Foundation Server.

  • Cloud-based solutions and services (Windows Azure, preferably PaaS)
  • Enterprise architectures (multi-tier, SOA, SaaS, ESB)
  • Integration projects (EAI, WCF/Rest, Service Bus Relay & Message Broker)
  • Messaging-oriented architectures
  • Application life-cycle management and code quality, CI
  • Agile methodologies, automated testing
  • Relational database designing, programming and administration

Software Architect

Tekla Oyj

I work in the Technology unit and do research and development mostly for cloud based computing (Windows Azure PaaS).

Other technologies that I deal with daily are .NET Framework and SQL Server. Goals of the development usually have something to do with collaboration and integration and other distributed solutions. I've also built an internal framework/platform for hosting SOA-services in cloud and on-premises environments.

We have recently launched a collaboration service backend for people doing 3D design (BIM) across the world.

I also do occasional training within the company to help people adopt the latest technologies or to tell the news from conferences such as the Build.

Telcox Oy
  • Various freelance consulting and training -projects

Telcox Oy is my Father's (now retired) company. Every now and then I have helped him on something and in the early years I could use it for billing before I had my own company.

Trainer / Senior Consultant

Sovelto Oy

  • SQL Server administration, programming and certifications
  • .NET certification training
  • In-house development

I worked for a while at the smaller Sovelto Oy, before it merged with another training company, FCS Partners Oy, which later adopted the current name: Sovelto Oy. Confused? :)

Anyway, the original Sovelto Oy was mainly focused on IT Pro -things and I was there (the only one) to help training developers.

Software Architect

Sininen Meteoriitti Oy
  • Enterprise application project
  • Web development projects
  • .NET training

When I was at the Sininen Meteoriitti, it was one of the first .NET-companies. After training at the Tieturi Oy for some time, I was thirsty for real-life projects.

Sininen Meteoriitti was a natural choice for me and they had an interesting enterprise project to work with. After that there were some smaller projects and training gigs through the company, but not much software architecting to do.

Tieturi Oy

  • SQL Server administration and programming
  • SQL
  • .NET
  • XML
  • Classic ASP
  • Anything else that I found interesting:)

Tieturi was a good place to learn and share hot new technologies and to improve presentation skills. I trained large palette of subjects, since I found many things interesting.

At one point, .NET became reality and I saw immediately that it would replace the previous Windows DNA (COM/MTS/COM+/VB6/Classic ASP etc). With Delphi and VB background, the C# was a big leap forward, but studying it since then has been worthwile.

System Specialist

Vineyard International
  • Customizations for in-house CRM-product (Vineyard)
  • Simple integrations / XML

This was my first real job after school. I started as an intern and did some small projects, mostly with VB6 and such.

I still felt, that I wasn't agile and fast enough to be productive and wanted to learn more while working. With elimination I concluded that training could be interesting as it forces you to study the things throughly.
