“I had the pleasure of knowing Jeff for more than six years at Waste Management. Jeff was a very competent District Manager at one of WM's mid/large-sized landfills (with significant Gas Plant operations). I know Jeff as a diligent and knowledgeable District Manager, unafraid of some of the more difficult tasks such as Union Negotiations and employee discipline. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable in post-collection operations and did a tremendous job managing the operations, constructing new cells to grow the landfill, and securing community support for the growth of the landfill. Jeff was a very community-minded individual who encouraged community education (regarding the landfill) and also personally-supported other community activities. Jeff will be missed at Waste Management.”

Brian Sullivan

“I worked together with Jeff for over 10 years at Waste Management. As Jeff's largest internal customer, I always found Jeff to be very professional and competent. He ran an excellent operation at High Acres Landfill and was very responsive and accommodating whenever needed. His attention to Safety and Efficiency was always very high, which was very important to me and my operation. From my viewpoint, Jeff always did an excellent job.”

Joseph Picciotti

“I had the opportunity to work with Jeff on a large, somewhat controversial project while he was employed as a district manager. Jeff developed and was on the front line in executing the strategy employed whereby the project was successful in receiving various governmental approvals. Throughout various public hearings, presentations and review processes Jeff displayed a tireless can do attitude, and was well organized and efficient. Perhaps most important, Jeff displayed outstanding leadership qualities in leading his team.”

James Sordi

“Jeff Kocian is a dedicated and energetic leader. As the Regional Director of Safety and Environmental Protection of the Eastern Group for Waste Management, I worked very closely with Jeff when he was a District Manager. He was highly respected by his people and the Community in which he worked. Jeff is a good leader who never loses sight of his goal, and attained them very effectively.”

"I worked with Jeffrey in his capacity as District Manager for a major environmental facility in New York State over period of several years. Jeffrey managed advanced subtitle D landfill operations, recycling operations, energy recovery operations, complex transportation logistics among other environmental activities. He lead Business Development and Community Relations activities, successfully culminating in state and local government approvals of a major expansion of an environmental facility serving upstate NY. Jeffrey also conducted research and supervised consulting engineers in the preparation of national, regional and statewide assessments of waste stream trends as they related to strategic corporate objectives. In my interactions with Jeffrey he has acted in a professional manner with a strong work ethic and dedication to quality results."

Jason Leone

“Jeff was a very hands on manager that enjoyed getting out in the field where his team of employees were working. He was always attentive to needs of employees and a great listener.”
