Personal Background

Working as a teenager it made me value a hard day's work. I started my work early in life on our family farm picking rocks and working in the fields. I then moved on to working at our local career center during the summers and earn the "most likely to succeed" award. From there I started working for our school system in the bus garage as a secretary assistant after school (this was an after school work program through the state). I left the school to work at a box factory after school and during the summers and then onto a gas station during my college career. To further my career rather than a job I was employed with Gratiot Community Hospital as an internship working on their Y2K issue. Because this was a low paying job I also was working side jobs in a factory and for my brother in law. Once this internship was completed I worked as an insurance agent and part time cellular representative. I left there to work as a customer service representative for Consumers energy for 5 years and went back to school to complete my web development classes. I then picked up a job in Grand Rapids for BoatersBasement.com, where I was working in my field. I was driving over an hour to work each day one way to earn some experience in my field. The doors of this business have closed and I am currently pursuing my next endeavor. I work with small local companies occasionally building or working on their web sites. Each job had its on pros and cons about it and I believe that it has truly shaped my work ethics and made me a well rounded individual both professionally and personally.

Letter Of Recomendation

To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past 12 months I have had the pleasure of working with Jeff through a website that I own. Jeff quickly adapted to his position, continually picking up additional responsibilities as time rolled on. By the end of his work with us, Jeff managed the day to day operations of our ecommerce storefront, maintaining a database of over 6000 products, and facilitating virtually all customer service aspects (whether electronically or over the phone).

In addition to database and customer management, Jeff was hands on with development tasks, re-designing elements of our website, building newsletters, putting together advertisements, the list goes on. Jeff played in integral role in a store that has experienced 300% year over year growth. He is a hard worker and can be a valuable asset to a company’s workforce.

Thank you,
