The Great Outdoors.  Anything to do with Sailing.  Love racquet sports and golf.  Of course my grandkids who delight me with renewed enthusiasm.

Summary

I am very diversified with expertise in sales, marketing, management and driving skills (I hold a class A CDL).  I have been very successful in white color positions and enjoy many blue color jobs as well.  If I am not wearing a shirt and tie I can be found using my hands in all areas of construction and equipment operating, driving a truck or bus.  I am knowledgeable in all areas of maintenance, including electrical, plumbing and mechanicals.  I can fix just about anything and enjoy challenges of all shapes and sizes.  I pride myself in always having a professional appearance.

The Village Market

The Village Market (VM) is a subsidiary of Southern Adventists University in Collegedale Tennessee.  The VM is a hybrid store selling grocery items and a full array of natural and vegetarian items.  While employed at the VM, I have managed the Deli and Bakery as well as spearheaded a full marketing plan.  In addition I have served on the remodel committee.

Joined Coldwell Banker and got my Real Estate License in March 2004.  I was recruited by the Number One agent in the County and Number Three agent in the region for the past 5 years.  Won the 'Rookie' award after my first year and have ranked among the top agents in Washington County since.  Formed Paragon Real Estate Services and have done over $50,000,000 in sales.

Sold Life, Health and Disability Insurance along with investment products such as IRA's and Mutual Funds.  Graduated from the American College as a Chartered Financial Consultant.  Won awards for salesmanship every year and was the state's leading salesperson 4 years in a row.  Job entailed acquiring new accounts (personal and business) and doing a full financial analysis and recommending and selling products as needed.  By the time I left I had over 1,000 clients.

Accepted the position of District Manager for AXA Advisors and oversaw a sales force of 10 to 15 agents and 2 support staff.  Duties included recruiting and training new sales associates and managing an office with Gross Annual Sales over $2,000,000.

Joined a major publisher for the purpose of getting off the ground a print advertising division.  Wrote Rate Cards and traveled the country selling print advertising.  Took four (4) publications which had no advertising revenue when I arrived to over $1,000,000 annually when I left.  Built a core of advertisers through personal and consistant service that are still clients today.  In addition to ad sales I also served as the  Marketing Representative for the Health Journal "Vibrant Life."

Was involved with a start up Infant Formula that had less then 10% of the Atlanta Market when I arrived and over 90% when I left.  Innovotated a new system to accomodate Doctors in the transition of samples to patients that reduced office staff time to a minimum.  My innovation became a standard in the industry for new sample products.  Called on every Supermarket and Drug Store company for placement of our product on their shelves.  Had great success and achieved shelf space in all (100%) of the large Supermarkets and Drug Stores in Northern Georgia and East Tennessee.

I have built a home from the site work up.  I am skilled in all areas of construction and have advanced mechanical ability.

Professional CDL Driver

I have been driving professionally as a bus driver since 1999.  Most all of my driving was on a part-time basis as my schedule allowed.  I started at Washington County Public Schools as an Activities Driver and drove for 3 years and then moved to Tour Buses with Quicks out of Staunton Virginia.  After a year I was offered the position of Professional Driver for Columbia Union College out of Takoma Park Maryland.  I drove for them for 3 years and then started a new career in Real Estate.  In March of 2007 I went back to the School Board and took up driving again as an Activities Driver and am presently employed with them as to today.   My driving experience includes school buses and tour buses.  I have over 200,000 safe driving miles aboard a MC-9, 5 speed and over 20,000 driving an MC-9, automatic.  I have driven from Toronto to Florida and as far west as St. Louis.  I have driven in Boston, New York City, Miami, Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and other large east coast cities.   I also have over 5,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.  While a friend (owner-operator) was laid up with a broken leg I drove his rig for 3 months and gained valuable experience.   I have never had an accident and consider myself a very safe and dependable driver.  My personality is out going and genuine and  I enjoy driving and meeting new people.

Was chosen as the District Manager for AXA Advisors in Martinsburg WV from 1991 to 1996.  Left this position on my own and went back into being a full time Financial Planner.  During my management term I was responsible for hiring and training of new agents as well as managing the office of 15 employees.  Hired 10 agents over this time span with 2 of those agents leaders in their field today.
