After dedicating six plus years of my career to master my technical competencies as a Senior Software Engineer in the high tech field, I began to become restless.While I enjoyed developing and delivering features that enhance a product’s usability and robustness, I yearned to be in a position where I could make direct revenue impact and provide more influence to a company’s strategic direction.Thus, I started my metamorphosis to transform myself from a “techie” to a business-savvy, highly analytical marketing professional with the pursuit of MBA at Darden Business School of Administration.
Following business school, I joined a unique startup-like organization under IBM Software Group Strategy, where I worked closely with senior leaders of IBM and its customers to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for IBM’s innovation enablement and cloud computing solutions.This includes creating compelling value propositions, leading several global event marketing and press campaigns and delivering marketing collateral, such as brochures, C-level presentations, and sales training materials.
I’ve found tremendous value in the strong combination of my business and technical training while continuing to advance my career in the high tech field. My earlier technical training had proven to be effective in helping me quickly grasp emerging technologies, communicate to audience of all-levels and backgrounds, and serve as a liaison between business and technical organizations.The business training enables me to identify business opportunities from emerging technology trends, develop, and execute effective marketing plans.
