Public Bikes, Inc. & Carbon Label Now

Web Development Consultant

PUBLIC’s mission is to encourage all of us to be more conscious of, and intelligent about the way we get around in our daily lives. We are passionate about product design for mobility and will be introducing a unique line of urban bicycles and gear to make life a little more efficient and elegant for city dwellers.

I served in a leadership role by defining the web presence and launch of this business. In the end, we realized the merchandise offer was very limited and no longer warranted a sophisticated web approach and instead supported a simpler print catalog/brochure for launch. Leading up to this decision, I was able to complete the following:

  • Developed the new website RFP & budget for hiring design, development and hosting
  • Created the website requirements
  • Tested and determined the ecommerce platform
  • Created the overall site (IA) information architecture and detailed checkout path IA
  • Developed overall launch plan; created site content and management plan
  • Established AOV goals to align with annual financial targets

With Carbon Label Now, I partnered and established a local non-profit with the mission to stop the greenhouse emissions that threaten our planet’s environment. Our goal is to lift consumer awareness about their role in seeking out products with carbon labels and ultimately influence the company supply chains to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Confirmed the Articles of Incorporation within the state of California
  • Partnered with officers on our strategic communication plan
  • Developed the requirements for our website presence and managed development
