  • Member of the Rehab Advisory Committee - Responsible for supervising activities on the inpatient rehabilitation unit, leading program development and reporting to oversight committees. 
  • Chair of the Self Catheterization PACT - Elected chair by the Nursing Practice Congress, responsible for leading research study and program development on intermittent catheterization protocols throughout the hospital.    
  • Senior OT on the inpatient rehabilitation unit - responsible for orienting and training new staff, conducting custom seating and mobility assessments throughout the hospital, program development on neurogenic bowel and bladder protocols,  managing schedule for the rehab team and carrying a full caseload on the inpatient rehabilitation unit. 
  • Member of the planning committee and guest speaker for the Cancer Symposium between MD Anderson and TIRR - May 13-14, 2016. 
  • Guest speaker at the Spinal Tumor Conference - OT's role in bowel/bladder on the oncology rehabilitation unit - October 2014 and 2015.

  • Community outreach leader for Living Hope, a non profit established to support the Hispanic spinal cord injury community. Assisted in delivering more than 2,000 catheters to the organization (April 2012 to 2014).
  • Member and community outreach leader for the United Spinal Association - Houston (2012 to present)
  • Volunteered as camp counselor at Camp Xtreme - Camp for kids and young adults with spinal cord injury (July 2010)
