HydroChile is a renewable power generation company, developing hydro, wind and solar projects in Chile. I was appointed by Eton Park Capital Management (controlling shareholder) to implement the strategic plan and conduct daily operations. I oversee all business units, including development, acquisitions, construction, operations, legal, environmental, finance, administration and HR. I report to the Executive VP and the Board of Directors. Key accomplishments (to date):

  • Implemented a full-scale organizational restructuring with impact on corporate mission/vision, corporate governance, organizational chart, performance evaluation system and budgeting system
  • Led re-negotiations with EPC and civil works contractors that resulted in capex savings of more than USD 40 million
  • Structured a project finance facility of USD 120 million with four international banks
  • Launched an M&A strategy and pipeline that currently includes target companies/projects for a total of 700 MW in Chile

Allus is a leading business process outsourcing company in Latin America with 13,000+ employees and offices in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Spain and USA. I was appointed by Eton Park Capital Management (controlling shareholder at that time) to lead all financial activities in the group, including strategy, budgeting, reporting, accounting, tax, treasury and internal controls, among others. I was also responsible for corporate development, investment projects and M&A. I reported to the Corporate CEO and the Board of Directors. Key accomplishments:

  • Helped design and implement Allus’ 3-year Strategic Plan, including a 100% increase in equity value to shareholders (achieved and cashed-in in 2011)
  • Implemented financial corporate strategy and policies applicable to all subsidiaries
  • Led the strategic acquisition and post-merger integration of a leading Colombian outsourcing company. Acquisition value of USD 60 million
  • Planned, financed and launched operations in Peru. Start-up investment of USD 10 million
  • Key member of the deal team that led the sale of the Allus group to Contax (leading BPO firm in Brazil). Transaction completed in April 2011 for a total value of USD 200 million

Pent Capital was a financial advisory firm in Argentina assisting corporations and international investors in M&A, liability management and structured finance. I was co-Founder of the firm and Senior Financial Advisor responsible for both origination and execution of transactions. I led negotiations with investors, creditors, target companies and other third parties. I also coordinated a pool of analysts and associates in all tasks related to research, financial analysis/ valuation and due diligence. Key accomplishments:

  • Launched a successful independent professional practice. Co-founded PENT Capital and acted as Managing Partner responsible for all financial and administrative matters
  • Restructured domestic bank debt and international bonds for power distribution companies EDEA and IEBA (Camuzzi Group). Amount restructured of USD 400 million
  • Advised Eton Park Capital Management in the acquisition of an equity stake in the Latin American power conglomerate Prisma (later AEI). Investment value of USD 100 million
  • Advised Eton Park Capital Management in the capitalization of hydro power generation company ERSA in Brazil (now CPFL Renováveis). Investment value of USD 100 million
