Installing various types of pipe (carbon steel, copper, PVC, CPVC, stainless steel, etc) for a multitude of systems (hydronic, steam, pneumatic, chemical, VESDA, etc.) using varying methods (bonding, welding, bolt up, screw, grooved, brazing, soldering,etc.)Retrofitting steam/hydronic systems by replacing appropriate control valves and steam traps in existing systems. Working with and around live piping systems.
Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCad, CADmep and Fabrication software to create 3D models, and spool drawings from blue prints and Naviswork models. Verify BIM to field received prints and documents using Navisworks. Capable of creating hand drawn isometric drawings and detailing pipe runs.
The use of: power tools, hand tools, scissor lifts, boom lifts, scaffolding, ladders, personal protective equipment, pre-task planning, and blue prints.
Servicing and maintaining comfort heating and cooling equipment through the use of diagnostic equipment (multimeter, gauges, etc.) and use of building level control software. Replacing minor (relays, contactors, belts, filters, etc) and major components (coils, compressors, motors, etc.)
