During my stay in Paris over Summer I worked as a Receptionist at Vintage Hostel near Gare Du Nord. My role was to manage the front desk and reception area whilst providing a friendly service to guests.

Customer Relations Executive

Virgin Atlantic Airways

I worked in the Complaints Department at the Head Office of Virgin Atlantic Airways, responding to customers' claims for compensation relating to the Volcanic Ash incident of 2010. I had to evaluate claims and look through receipts to decide the level of compensation required.

Summary

Currently I am a third-year student of Anthropology, in the school of Global Studies at the University of Sussex.

I have had much experience in customer service and enjoy working with the public. I am hardworking,

enthusiastic and focused on maintaining a polite and professional attitude at work, always aiming to

provide a memorable experience to clientele.

Voluntary and Work Experience Positions

  • I spent a week in the Goethe Gymnasium Secondary School in Hamburg, Germany as a English Language Assistant as well as a secondary school in Metz, France. 
  • Outreach and Research Manager for a local Brighton-based NGO, 'Ditch the Label' that campaigns on equality issues. 
  • Through the Sussex University Volunteer program I have volunteered for the Sussex Wildlife Trust. and I helped out at St. Anne's Day Centre for the Homeless over the Easter Break, serving food and drink as well as engaging in conversation those attending and joining in organised activity. 
  • As a member of Amnesty International I helped the local group to organise a petition against Trafficking-Specialist Police unit cuts which we presented to our local MP.
  • I took part in the Silver Surfer's Project, Wickham Community Centre by assisting in teaching the elderly in ICT use. 
  • I worked on the Client Satisfaction Feedback survey for the Citizen's Advice Bureau for two months.
