Jay Penske’s various entrepreneurial ventures have been featured in top media, including Forbes, The New York Times, Reuters, and CNN. In 2003, Jay Penske founded Penske Media Corporation, which has developed into a media conglomerate, publishing print and digital content on a variety of platforms around the world, including a joint venture in India with Zee TV that includes India.com and multiple sister brands.
Also a lover of fast cars, Penske co-founded Dragon Racing in 2006, a motorsports team competing in the Formula-E series. The venture is run by an experienced team that collectively has more than 150 years in racing, including 275 race wins, 24 Indy 500 victories, and 17 series championships. Penske also has an appreciation for books, leading him to found Dragon Books, a Los Angeles-based bookstore with a collection of rare, antique books. In his spare time, Penske sits on the boards of PMC, Penske Business Media, Paley Center for Media, Dragon Racing LLC, and the University of Pennsylvania Library, in addition to serving as a vice chairman of the American Film Institute and advisor to WI Harper Group.
