For more than a decade, I have successfully implemented programs that have stabilized and improved schools as both a teacher and a school leader.  My personal passion for education began with me mentoring students while in college.  This inspirational experience energized me toward my purpose, which is to build great relationships with students and staff while challenging them to achieve their best.

Planning staffing needs and recruiting effectively. Ensuring adherence to all HR procedures and professional development of staff. Ensuring staff issues are addressed appropriately to maximize retention.  Maintaining reasonable parent satisfaction and a positive and effective working relationship with the School Board, the local DOE and Charter School Associations.

Principal, Westampton, NJ— Appraised school performance data and successfully implemented the transformation of a failing school culture.  Reviewed evaluation ratings and coached supervisors and teachers toward performance increase of 25%.  Reduced the suspension rate by 30%.  Developed sustainable systems of student management and staff performance.

Principal, Newark, NJ— Successfully launched and implemented both academic and school culture improvement programs resulting in improved staff and student relations as reported by survey results. Increased college acceptance rate and workplace readiness placements by 40% through mentoring and tutoring.  Increased pupil attendance by 15% through emphasis of the Attendance Matters campaign. Increased PTA membership by 400% by implementing programs such as Coffee with the Principal, PTA Breakfast, and Data for Dinner(a family informational program which provided details about school performance), school newsletters and vast utilization of social media.

Vice Principal, Trenton, NJ— Effectively coached from grades K-12 toward improving instructional practice using new evaluation tools and research-based professional development teams. Facilitated exciting morning meeting activities for students and staff to generate a culture of preparedness for learning. Created HSPA Hub, a club that paired local college student mentors with high school students to tutor and assist students with college and career preparation. The Hub produced significant gains of greater than 35% in math portion of the standardized test and 20%  in literacy.

Teacher and Technology Facilitator— Teaching responsibilities included 4th grade instruction in literacy and educational technology. Developed a specialized program for selected students(based on individual NJASK scores) that boosted reading and writing scores by 20% school-wide. Successfully trained the principal, all teachers teachers and teacher's aides in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the integration of technology into instruction through scheduled group and one-on-one sessions.
