A results-driven professional, Mr. Jawanza Lamar demonstrates a wide range of abilities in his current role as a Solutions Consultant for Teradata Corp. One of only two Solutions Consultants in the country, Jawanza Lamar focuses his efforts primarily on strengthening Teradata’s position in the telecom industry through the customized implementation of leading data warehousing technologies. With the company for two years, Jawanza Lamar has consistently met and exceeded his goals, driving new revenues for the company every year. Jawanza Lamar acquired much of his experience in telecommunications technology while employed at Nortel Networks. Originally joining the company as a Senior Systems Engineer, Jawanza Lamar’s creative and analytical problem solving skills allowed him to rise quickly, becoming Senior Sales Engineer, Account Manager, and Director of Sales – Optical/Data Products. As a Director of Sales, Jawanza Lamar worked directly with C-level executives on the strategic implementation of Nortel technologies, successfully negotiating contracts worth as much as $250M. A fan of motorcycle racing, Jawanza Lamar left Nortel Networks in 2002 to found his own company, OuterXtremes Inc., a custom motorcycle builder based in suburban Atlanta. As the Owner and President of the company, Jawanza Lamar successfully implemented a number of strategic business development initiatives that substantially increased OuterXtremes’ visibility in the market and grew annual sales revenues to $400,000 in 3 short years. Jawanza Lamar eventually sold OuterXtremes in 2005 for a profit. While guiding OuterXtremes to its eventual sale, Jawanza Lamar simultaneously served as Director of Technical Development for Tracklaps Inc. In this capacity, Jawanza Lamar was in charge of building the company’s website and database technology, securing financing, and strategizing a viable and effective business development plan. Jawanza Lamar left the company, which provided software solutions for the professional motorcycle racing industry, to join Teradata in 2006. Jawanza Lamar is a 1995 graduate of the University of Alabama. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
