Jason Mc Pharlin

Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Rushmore Investment Advisors in Plano, Texas, Jason McPharlin holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. After completing his Bachelor of Science, Jason McPharlin enrolled at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University, where he earned his Master of Business Administration. Finally, he attended Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona, where he studied Portfolio Management and International Finance, graduating with a Master of International Management. With this educational background, Jason McPharlin accepted a position as a Senior Financial Analyst with Blockbuster Latin America out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then translated this experience with the Latin American market into serving as Finance Director of DirecTV Latin America, also in Fort Lauderdale. With the company for six years, Jason McPharlin worked with DirecTV’s finance group, overseeing the Latin American operating companies. In December 2003, Jason McPharlin began work as a Portfolio Manager, Chief Compliance Officer, and Vice President at Northstar Capital Management in Boca Raton, Florida. At Northstar Capital Management, Jason McPharlin belonged to the Northstar Capital Investment Committee and oversaw compliance. He remained with the company until March 2011, at which time he moved to Rushmore Investment Advisors, where he continues to serve as a Portfolio Manager. Outside of his professional obligations, Jason McPharlin supports the Tracey McPharlin Pro Bono Dependency Recruitment Initiative as well as Florida’s Children First, an organization working to support and advance the rights of at-risk children and young people by advocating full representation of children and youth. Florida’s Children First works primarily through public policy development, training and technical help, and occasional litigation. James McPharlin also enjoys spending time playing with his three children.
