Professional Profile

Jason is an accomplished cable executive with a track record of strategic and tactical leadership in the multi-channel video distribution industry.  With over 17 years of experience in telecommunications, he has spent time on both the content and MVPD side of the business.  With a keen eye for detail, Jason is a self-starter determined to exceed expectations and is accustomed to accomplishing large-scale, cross-functional projects with minimal resources and oversight.  

While holding senior executive positions at both Starz Entertainment and Disney & ESPN Media Networks, Jason was responsible for driving incremental revenue and subscriber growth through successful contract negotiation, new product launches and strategic marketing initiatives.  He has worked across various MVPD relationships including, among others, Comcast, DISH Network, Charter Communications, Suddenlink, Wide Open West, Atlantic Broadband, Centurylink, Cable One and GCI.   During that time, Jason also led several strategic network task forces, working cross functionally throughout various groups to launch new products and services with a goal of driving incremental distribution and revenue. 

Jason has also held several leadership positions with Comcast, spanning several sales channels.  These channels represented various products including Video, Broadband and Telephony.  Jason spent time designing and implementing commission structures, formulating sales strategy and providing sales leadership throughout the organization.

Prior to joining the telecommunications industry, Jason worked in both sales and fan development in the professional sports realm and spent some time in bank management.  He resides in beautiful Highlands Ranch, CO, with his wife Therese and two daughters, Annie and Katie.

Professional EXPERIENCE

  • Contract Negotiation
    • Delivered multi-year, multi-billion dollar distribution contract with Charter Communications across more than 45 networks and services including Linear, VOD, Digital and Retransmission Consent rights.
    • Secured incremental revenue through various “in-term” new product launches of ABC News Now, ESPN3, and various VOD offerings.
  • Product Strategy & Development
    • Developed and executed both short and long-term sales strategies for Video-On-Demand (VOD) products.
    • Organized, promoted, and orchestrated sales activities across multiple products to ensure sales campaign success and revenue maximization.
    • Influential in the strategic distribution and implementation of Starz OTT services within traditional MVPD environment.
    • Successfully facilitated the Starz and StarzEncore rebranding initiative across various account assignments.
    • Identified Single Asset Solution and Asset Packaging Automation as viable products based on market feedback.
  • Marketing Communications
    • Implemented a number of social media campaigns utilizing award winning content to drive consumer awareness and subscriber growth.
    • Directed Point of Sale initiatives and incentive campaigns.
  • Strategic Account Management
    • Built strategic relationships with key decision makers and influencers throughout affiliate organizations, maximizing revenue, and insuring company-wide buy-in and true win/win outcomes.
  • Sales Channel Development
    • Managed non-traditional sales channels including Retail, Field Technicians, Payment Centers, Outbound Telemarketing, Rescue Team and Web Sales Channels for Comcast's Rocky Mountain Region.
