  • Assists in the selecting and hiring of photographers by conducting phone and face - to - face interviews and / or providing input to the District Operations Manager.
  • Trains new photographers and veteran photographers in classroom and in the field training.
  • Provides coaching to photographers regarding photography and how they interacted to children and staff at the center.
  • Reviews portrait evaluations of photographers work to ensure quality and consistency and provides feedback to the photographer, the District Operations Manager, and the Photo Department.
  • Ensures photographers meet all deadlines for paperwork and equipment.
  • Working closely with the Account Specialist and District Operations Manager to ensure photographer schedules are maximized to the full opportunities that are available. As well as understanding the needs and limitations of each center as well as the photographers and their abilities.
  • Manage day to day performance of entire photography team including field visits, recognition, and disciplinary action when needed.
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of equipment, background and props as well as tracking and inventory of the equipment for each photographer on my team.
  • Conducts weekly conference calls.
  • Services existing accounts to ensure school retention and other needs that they might have.
  • Presents presentations at the District Meetings for each season.
  • Able to photograph when needed

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrives on-site on-time to allow proper set-up time
  • Greets center staff and children with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Exhibits energy and enthusiasm while establishing a connection with subjects to ensure a positive picture day experience
  • Has all necessary equipment, supplies, and film to perform the duties of the job
  • Assembles, handles and maintains equipment according to established guidelines.
  • Poses and photographs children, teachers, and staff according  to age and attire. 
  • Maintains productivity in order to stay on schedule.
  • Correctly completes and ships all required paperwork and film to ensure pictures are processed in the expected time frame.
  • Makes contact with center director prior to departure.
  • Presents Picture Day Reservation Form to reserve dates for next season with the center directors signature and date.
  • Represents Lifetouch in a professional manner at all times while adhering to all Company and center rules and policies and displays confidence and professionalism even during times of stress and in difficult situations
  • Maintains confidentiality of school/student related information
  • Participates in on-going training as provided and required by the company.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Photographer Duties:

  • Uses appropriate verbal cues and hand signals to providing clear instructions to each subject to capture high-quality portraits (including desired expressions) in accordance with Company posing guidelines.
  • Exhibits energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to establish a connection with subjects and administration/staff to ensure a positive picture day experience.
  • Represents Lifetouch in a professional manner at all times while adhering to all Company and schools policies and procedures.

Equipment Handling & Administrative Duties

  • Properly sets up equipment.
  • Maintains and safely transports all necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Safeguards and properly handles sales proceeds, job bags, DVDs, and photography equipment. Immediately reports any equipment defects or missing proceeds to the Manager.  
  • Verifies subject information is accurate, filling in missing information if necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer/subject related information.
  • Enters accurate information from camera/payment envelopes and returns all paperwork to the field or territory office in a timely manner.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports picture day team by assisting others as needed.
  • Participates in ongoing training as provided and required by the company.
  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
  • Check and count money for accounts and deposit funds at the bank for each day.
