A 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, Jannene Olson has had an illustrious career in military intelligence, security, and communications. Olson is currently devoting her time to being a stay-at-home mom and volunteering in her community. Jannene Olson places a high priority on volunteering in her son’s activities. She serves as a member of the Parent Teacher Student Association at Adolfo Camarillo High School. She has also been volunteering as coach and judge for the High School’s Speech and Debate Team. Jannene Olson donates her time to a number of community organizations including the United States (U.S.) Naval Sea Cadet Corps El Toro Battalion located in Irvine, California. The organization provides cadets with training in naval skills and instills qualities such as discipline, motivation, self-reliance, pride, and self-respect. She also belongs to the Camarillo Las Posas Republican Women Federated and volunteers at a meals ministry which provides food to people in need. As an animal lover, Jannene Olson participates in pet therapy programs that use pets to provide companionship, comfort, and healing to people who are ill. She also adopts dogs with special needs, including deaf dogs, and spends time working with them. Additionally, she belongs to an online group that advocates for deaf dogs. Jannene Olson holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of La Verne near Point Mugu in California. In addition to her busy volunteer schedule, she enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests including traveling and outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking. She also appreciates theater arts such as concerts and comedy shows.
