Janice Crowder, MD, serves as a physician at Mainland Obstetrics and Gynecology, Associates in Houston. Dr. Crowder maintains a dedication to treating patients holistically and addressing their medical, and psychosocial needs. Dr. Janice Crowder has gained a well-deserved reputation for offering patients a positive and professional experience and treating them with compassion and understanding. Since Dr. Crowder cares about her patients, she encourages them to provide feedback about their experiences by filling out a patient satisfaction survey. Janice Crowder, MD, provides gynecological exams and comprehensive obstetrical care. For expectant mothers, Dr. Crowder prefers to schedule their first visits at 8 to 10 weeks, when she conducts prenatal blood work. She next schedules patients for appointments every month until the 28th week of pregnancy, then every 2 weeks from the 28th to 36th week, and once a week from 36 weeks until delivery. Prior to her role at Mainland Obstetrics, Dr. Crowder gained valuable experience in her field at MacGregor Medical Association in Houston. Dr. Janice Crowder also taught at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, part of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. From 1990 to 1995, she served as an Assistant Clinical Instructor in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Services. She currently holds affiliations with Texas area hospitals, including Christus St. John Hospital and Memorial Hermann in Houston.  Recognized for providing outstanding care as a physician, Dr. Janice Crowder has received accolades including recognition as America’s Top Obstetrician and Gynecologist in 2004 and 2005. She also received the Outstanding Physician Award in 2005 and the title of Houston’s Top Doc in 2010 and 2011. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1994, Dr. Crowder belongs to a host of professional organizations, which keeps her current in her field. She holds membership in the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, and the Houston Medical Forum. In addition, she holds membership in the Texas Medical Association, and the Houston Gynecological and Obstetrical Society. When she is not busy serving patients, she enjoys a variety of personal interests, including skiing, bowling, reading, swimming, and playing tennis.
