Janice Crowder, MD, serves as a physician at Mainland Obstetrics and Gynecology, Associates in Houston. For expectant mothers, Dr. Crowder prefers to schedule their first visits at 8 to 10 weeks, when she conducts prenatal blood work. She next schedules patients for appointments every month until the 28th week of pregnancy, then every 2 weeks from the 28th to 36th week, and once a week from 36 weeks until delivery. Prior to her role at Mainland Obstetrics, Dr. Crowder gained valuable experience in her field at MacGregor Medical Association in Houston. Dr. Janice Crowder also taught at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, part of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. From 1990 to 1995, she served as an Assistant Clinical Instructor in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Services. She currently holds affiliations with Texas area hospitals, including Christus St. John Hospital and Memorial Hermann in Houston. Recognized for providing outstanding care as a physician, Dr. Janice Crowder has received accolades including recognition as America’s Top Obstetrician and Gynecologist in 2004 and 2005. She also received the Outstanding Physician Award in 2005 and the title of Houston’s Top Doc in 2010 and 2011.
