Janet Ibru, who currently serves CASI Global Investments Corporation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as an Executive Manager, previously served The Urban Passage, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to the recovery of youth formerly held in juvenile detention in the Alexandria, Virginia, community. In Janet Ibru’s role as Business Operations Director at The Urban Passage, she performed financial and secretarial duties. Janet Ibru offers several years of experience working internationally, as well as domestically.Furthermore, she embarked on a career in Nigeria shortly after graduating from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Arts with honors. In the mid-1990s, Janet Ibru accepted a position as an Assistant Auditor in the Human Resources (HR) Department at Price Waterhouse (currently PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC) in Lagos for her first professional endeavor. During the two years Janet Ibru served Price Waterhouse, she completed tasks such as collecting information to assemble various financial statements, inspecting the HR departments of other commercial businesses, and assisting senior executives with duties, including validating financial statements and redeveloping some of the HR departments she audited.Janet Ibru received her Master of Business Administration in 2002 from the American University Kogod School of Business in Washington. As a student, she concentrated on international marketing and global finance, and she graduated with a 3.8 grade point average. This degree provided Janet Ibru with the necessary tools to join The Urban Passage, Inc., from its onset, and to embark on a career opportunity with CASI Global Investments Corporation. In addition to her role at CASI, she remains on the Board of Directors of TOTAL Nigeria Plc, a company that provides aviation fuels, gas, portfolio fuels, insecticides, car-care items, and several other types of products.
