EMBARQ is a Fortune 500 communications company formed as a separate company in May 2006 after the Sprint Nextel merger. EMBARQ was acquired by CenturyTel in July 2009, and is now operating as CenturyLink. I transitioned to EMBARQ from Sprint at the time of separation. See recent work examples above and on the left.
Manager Corporate Communications, March 2008 - present
Created a broad range of internal communications including business unit and executive messages designed for mass distribution to all employees as well as targeted audiences. Wrote articles for company intranet, corporate video scripts and communications plans supporting product launches and organizational changes. Also conducted employee communication survey and analyzed results to understand internal communications needs and gaps. Recently completed a company-wide energy saving campaign that contributed to a year-over-year reduction in energy usage.
Group Manager Channel Communications, January 2004 - February 2008
Developed training materials for frontline associates, and implemented an innovative facilitator-led interactive approach for training delivery through quarterly training roadshows. Also managed ongoing employee incentive and awareness programs and hosted annual kick-off event attended by over 100 field sales managers across the country, as well as corporate staff and executive leadership.

Sprint is a Fortune 100 communications company. My career with Sprint began in 1991 working for United Telecom. United Telecom later acquired Sprint and adopted the Sprint name. The company merged with Nextel and spun-off the local division in 2006, and I continued my employment working for EMBARQ as a stand alone company. I held a variety of management positions during my tenure with Sprint and was promoted from an analyst to a manager in my first six months. Responsible for save desk retention channel, churn prevention and customer winback programs.

Developed plans for a customer loyalty program designed to retain high value customers and a Save Desk trial to test product and customer churn prevention results.
