Drury University alumnus Jim Yount recently earned a well-deserved induction into the institution's Hall of Fame, having claimed both national and program-wide records as one of the strongest swimmers on the school's team. While studying for a degree in Business Administration, James Yount was named captain of the swim team as a sophomore, junior, and senior and garnered the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors as a senior after leading the Drury University swim team to its first national championship. Jim Yount also became a 21-time All American athlete and claimed several national and program-wide records, including the 100, 200, and 500 yard freestyle events.Today, James Yount applies that same passion and competitive spirit to his career as a Financial Consultant. James Yount has traveled from California to New York to assist financial advisors in determining the best solutions for their clients. James Yount focuses primarily on wire houses.In his free time, Jim Yount enjoys staying physically active through rock climbing, weight lifting, and running. James Yount regularly camps and rock climbs in Joshua Tree National Park with prolific climbing instructor Bob Gaines of Vertical Adventures. James Yount turns to physical fitness to relieve stress and connect with nature.James Yount also devotes much of his free time to reading and the arts, listing Ayn Rand and J.D. Salinger among his favorite authors. James Yount also recently developed and co-produced a movie entitled Warrior, starring Twilight actors Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene. Warrior chronicles the development of a high school lacrosse player who befriends a Marine after his father dies in Iraq and is based on a story created by Jim Yount.
